This wireless car charging cradle was easy to assemble and install — much more so than I anticipated. Once in place, its stability was greater than I expected, too.
The vent I chose is near enough the steering wheel that the phone is easy to reach with minimal hand movement, and the location also allows a quick glance of the phone with minimal distraction from the road ahead. That said, I encourage the driver of the automobile in which I installed it (I can’t drive due to vision impairment) to pull off the road when interacting with her phone … for her safety and for mine.
The wireless charging function also worked flawlessly with our iPhone 12 Pros. The charger has a USB-C power input port and included a USB-A to USB-C charge cable. The subject vehicle has both USB-A and USB-C output ports just below that vent location, so the included charge cable was more than long enough. I bundled the excess with a hook-loop cable tie to keep things neat.
The charger’s magnet holds the phone well enough without the built-in side braces, but those provide extra security when traveling rough roads.
When evaluating products, I try to imagine what I’d change to improve them, and nothing comes to mind with this wireless car charger.
Hope this helps. Clear skies!
